In this assignment, we were given two images of a car. One was a raw photograph, and one was a touched-up version. We then learned how to use gimp to turn the first image into the second.
We learned how to use different tools in the gimp program to take imperfections out of the picture, and altered the levels to bring the best out of the colors. The final product looks similar to what you would see on an advertisement or professional photograph.

Macro
For this assignment, we were to use macro settings on our cameras to take high-quality photography close-ups. We needed to reveal details in settings that are usually not seen. I chose to take a picture of a ladybug on a branch because there were tons of these bugs on this tree and they were barely noticeable through the branches and leaves.

Motion Demonstration
Today, we took pictures to demonstrate the use of panning by shooting a moving motorcycle. We followed the subject with our cameras on a slow shutter speed to get the subject in focus, but the background blurry.
I learned how to translate the motion of an event into a photo where motion is stopped. A photographer can achieve this by letting blur into a photo and letting it demonstrate that there was motion at the event.

Gimp Pop-Art Assignment
For this assignment, we learned how to use the Gimp software and created a popart picture with threshold and colors. We used portrait pictures that we had previously taken in the class and cropped them to show just the subject's face. We then adjusted the threshold and colors to make it look like an Andy Warhol photo.
